Job Description

As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing our food safety programs. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • HACCP and FSMA Program Execution: Lead validation activities, daily monitoring, and revision of CCPs and preventive controls. Ensure compliance with regulatory schedules and documentation.
  • Quality Inspections: Conduct physical and quality inspections of the product during reception, processing, storage, and shipping stages.
  • Labeling and Supplier Program Implementation: Support the FSQA Manager in validating label information and coordinating technical reviews with suppliers (ingredients, allergens, claims).
  • Internal Audit Leadership: Independently conduct internal audits in all operational areas (processing, storage, shipping) with minimal supervision. Prepare audit reports and follow-up plans.
  • External Audit Support: Assist the FSQA Manager in external audits.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Oversee traceability exercises, environmental monitoring programs, and sanitation verification records.
  • Training and Cross-Functional Support: Design and deliver technical training to operations teams on HACCP, traceability, sanitation, labeling, and documentation practices.
  • Operational Supervision and First Point of Contact: Act as the primary FSQA liaison with production, warehouse, and distribution teams. Support implementation of food safety SOPs on the floor.
  • Program Reporting and Analysis: Prepare technical summaries, analysis of trends, and KPI dashboards for FSQA Manager’s review.
