3D Printing Technician
North Metro | Direct Hire | $25.00–$34.00/hr + OT + Benefits
Konik is partnering with an innovative manufacturer in the north metro area that supports rapid product development across advanced mechanical and industrial applications. This growing team is seeking a 3D Printing Technician to join their additive manufacturing group and play a hands-on role in bringing prototypes and parts to life.
This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment. You'll support a variety of internal teams by producing high-quality printed parts, performing post-processing, and maintaining high-performance additive equipment. It's an ideal fit for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and an interest in advanced manufacturing technology.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment across multiple technologies (FDM, SLS, etc.), including machine setup, material changes, and software job scheduling
- Perform post-processing tasks such as cleaning, sanding, blasting, and minor assembly to prepare parts for use in testing or functional review
- Troubleshoot equipment and print quality issues while supporting preventative maintenance and minor repairs in line with established standards
- Support internal teams by referencing CAD models (Creo or SolidWorks) and collaborating with engineering, design, and quality functions
- Contribute to organization-wide efficiency through inventory management, material ordering, 5S initiatives, and general facility upkeep
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary coursework in design, manufacturing, or engineering is a plus
- 1–3 years of experience in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, prototyping, or related shop-floor or lab-based technical roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with printer troubleshooting, part finishing, and basic equipment maintenance
- Basic understanding of CAD models and engineering drawings; ability to reference or interpret models for job setup and inspection
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams); familiarity with ERP or part tracking systems is a plus
