**Overview** GovCIO is hiring a VistA and Windows System Administrator to support Veterans Affairsoperational needs. The role requires AWS, VistA, and Windows administration experience, with strong database management skills, tomaintaininfrastructure and ensure system security and performance.This position is fully remote within the United States.   **Responsibilities** + Plan the transition of development and/or production environments tonew technologies. + Ensure data integrity and facilitate electronic health record modernization. + Establish andmaintainsmooth operation of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware, in both networked and stand-alone configurations. + Consult with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staffto resolve technical issues. + Coordinate and perform operational and maintenance activities for networks/servers. + Identifyrecurring problems and recommend solutions to minimize impact andfrequency. + Ensure system integrity and perform upgrades to systems and/or servers asrequired. + Plan the transition of development and/or production environments tonew technologies. + Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations anddeterminehardware or software requirements related to such changes.  **Qualifications** **Required Skills and Experience:** + Bachelor's in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8+ years ofcommensurateexperience.  + Minimum of 5 years of experience in VistA and Windows system administration.  + Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.  + Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.  + Experience with mirroring and shadowing + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  + Strong communicationand teamwork abilities.  **Preferred Skills and Experience** ** :** + RHEL 6, 7, and 8 + RAID + Volume Shadow Copy Service + AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified).  + Experience withJenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence,Ldap, openLdapTomcat 7, OpenShift, VMWare 6.5  + Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)  **Clearance R** **equired** ** ** + Ability to obtain andmaintaina suitability/Public Trust  \#TAPS **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
