Description **CPA/Business Management firm in West LA seeking Tax preparer** Please send resume to Eric Herndon for consideration We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join CPA/Business Manager firm in Los Angeles, California. This role involves assisting clients with their tax filings to ensure compliance and maximize their returns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and excellent communication skills to effectively guide clients through the process. Responsibilities: - Prepare and submit accurate tax filings for clients, ensuring compliance with all regulations. - Conduct detailed interviews with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation. - Analyze income and expense data to determine applicable deductions and credits. - Utilize tax software such as Lacerte and CCH ProSystem to process and manage filings efficiently. - Review and audit financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. - Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance. - Act as a liaison between clients and tax authorities, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. - Offer advice on tax-saving strategies and financial planning to optimize client outcomes. - Manage multiple client accounts while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of service. - Provide support during audits and other compliance-related processes. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation or related roles. - Proficiency in using tax software such as Lacerte and CCH ProSystem. - Strong understanding of individual tax return preparation and compliance. - Familiarity with tax laws and regulations applicable to individual filings. - Excellent analytical skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies. - Effective communication skills to interact with clients and explain complex concepts. - Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in all tax-related tasks. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
