About the Role
Or Client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support large scale, enterprise level government systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining testing strategies, executing comprehensive testing plans, and ensuring high quality system delivery across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide input on testing strategy, test plans, testing tools, and resource requirements
Plan, organize, and execute testing efforts for large enterprise systems in GUI and non GUI environments
Perform system integration testing, functional testing, non functional testing, specialized testing, stress testing, and user acceptance testing
Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data
Execute test cases across multiple system components and environments
Work closely with testing leads, IT leads, project teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC
Support user acceptance testing activities and defect resolution
Track, manage, and report defects using industry standard tools
Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices
Required Skills and Experience
Core QA Experience (40%)
10+ years of experience in software testing within enterprise and large scale IT environments
Strong hands on experience in manual testing across functional, non functional, and UAT phases
Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test plans, test cases, scripts, and reports
Proven experience in end to end testing of complex systems
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Knowledge of QA compliance standards and security testing practices
Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
Technical Skills (35%)
Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Postman for API testing
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
Strong understanding of databases including SQL and Oracle
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or GitLab
Accessibility and Compliance
Extensive experience with AODA testing and accessibility compliance
Knowledge of accessibility standards and regulations
Soft Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Must Have
5+ years of manual testing experience
Hands on experience across functional, non functional, and UAT testing
Experience using Jira to track and manage defects
