Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Staff Accountant to join a leading Company located in the El Cajon, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $36.00 -$38.50 per hour 

We start at 7:30 am - 9/80 off every other Friday

Staff Accountant with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting and strong DBA system skills. This position supports our Assistant Controllers withcost accounting, financial reporting, and system administration.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production environment and can confidently handle both accounting and data management responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Support Assistant Controllers with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
• Perform cost accounting for labor, overhead, and inventory.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory and variances.
• Provide DBA system support for accounting and financial reporting tools.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and dashboards for leadership.
• Partner with operations to deliver insights and improve financial controls.
• Support payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting functions.
• Assists with the implementation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (CPA or CMA a plus).
• 5+ years in accounting, with at least 3 years in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and GAAP compliance.
• Advanced Excel & database skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
