Program Summary

The KBR Metrology team supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advanced Motion, and their suppliers by offering services such as onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspection. Our team ensures that the equipment is maintained to high standards through preventative maintenance, calibration recall system management, automation and programming, and performance tracking dashboards.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies to meet schedules and customer requirements. Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverables, verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintains related records. Serves as a resource for resolving complex issues and may assist in training or checking the work of lower-level employees. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of equipment and materials to vendors and customers.
  • Establish and communicate completion dates for deliverables.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and rates; maintain related records.
  • Stamp identifying information and shipping instructions on containers.
  • Contact vendors by mail, email, or phone to requisition materials, verify shipments, and track completion dates.
  • Arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival and inspect products for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Coordinate logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance, and warehousing for efficient, timely, and cost-effective support.
  • Create shipping documentation in SAP and coordinate with shipping departments to ensure process completion.
  • Package equipment for shipping, ensuring all required paperwork is attached and billing appropriate accounts.
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management.
  • Update systems to reflect current status of shipments and vendor transactions.
  • May assist in orienting and training lower-level employees and check their work.
  • May be designated as a "lead" worker.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of directly related work experience.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other tracking systems for receiving transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating logistics functions in a government or defense environment.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety compliance in logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage priorities and schedules effectively.
