Position Summary: :

Reporting to the Manager of IT Security, the Security Analyst II will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement solutions that provide enhanced security practices and protocols. Working closely with other IT members, compliance, leadership, and business units, the Security Analyst II identifies security needs of the organization, gathers and analyzes information, and documents recommendations for security systems and process improvements, with a focus on Network, Application and End User security measures and practices. This individual is also involved in planning and executing proposed recommendations and system changes, assisting technology and information processing teams in implementing measures to ensure all systems and data are safeguarded in accordance with the organization's HITRUST, HIPAA and industry standards.

What You Will Do: :

• Work with stakeholders to assess technology needs and develop solutions or enhancements to existing systems to meet security standards and requirements
• Work with stakeholders to identify systems that will be targeted for penetration testing
• Work alongside technical teams to swiftly determine root causes of network and data breaches as they arise
• Communicate incident reports and security issues clearly to relevant audiences within the organization
• Partner with compliance team to ensure applications and network tools meet or exceed security standards for audit requirements
• Implement and evaluate security protocols and measures for new and existing business applications and tools
• Manage the implementation, roll out and support of security applications to improve security perimeter
• Stay informed about emerging IT security trends and evolving cyber-attack strategies
• Work with SOC to monitor network and systems against potential security threats and incidents
• Perform other duties and special projects as required

What You Will Bring: :

• Working knowledge of NIST Security requirements; HITRUST, HIPAA understanding is required

• Knowledge of procedures for handling security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery

• Proficiency with CISCO / network security and other networking/email security tools and protocols 

• Experience implementing and supporting security tools 

• 4-6+ years of experience as a Security Analyst or similar role
• Ability to assess and manage risks associated with security threats, including developing risk mitigation strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security

Post secondary degree in technology or related discipline is desired or equivalent practical experience preferred

The pay range for this position is $116,000 - $120,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
