SAP Vertex Consultant Onsite in Austin, TX
Location: Austin, TX (5 days onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
We are seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant to support tax configuration, integrations, and end-to-end implementation activities across SAP and eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Vertex setup, indirect tax rules, and SAP Vertex integrations.
Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end Vertex implementation cycles across SAP environments.
Configure Vertex components including Tax Product Category (TPC), Tax Product Driver (TPD), Tax Assist Rules, and related tax determination elements.
Manage integrations between SAP, Vertex, and eCommerce systems.
Support US and international indirect tax requirements and compliance needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, IT, and business operations.
Investigate tax calculation issues, troubleshoot integration gaps, and ensure accurate end-to-end tax flow.
Contribute to solution design, documentation, testing, and production support.
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of total experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Vertex implementation experience .
Strong understanding of Vertex configurations (TPC, TPD, Tax Assist Rules, etc.).
Experience integrating Vertex with SAP and eCommerce systems.
Solid knowledge of US and international indirect tax concepts.
Experience with Vertex ECM/CC is preferred.
Experience with Tax e-Invoicing is a strong plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
