A leading acute care hospital located in southeastern New York is now searching for an experienced RN Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This acute care facility was founded over one hundred years ago and today boasts more than 400-beds and offers a wide variety of medical and surgical services. This state-of-the-art medical center provides a number of patient care services including behavioral health, oncology services, cardiopulmonary and vascular services, emergency and critical care, radiology services, maternity and pediatric care, wound and home care, and much more.
Reporting to the Director of Health Information Management, the RN Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist will play a crucial role in optimizing clinical documentation practices to ensure accurate and comprehensive medical records. Primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical documentation, conducting concurrent and retrospective reviews, providing education to healthcare providers, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve coding accuracy and quality of documentation.
