Under the general direction of the Office Chief for Real Property Services, the Senior Right of Way Agent (SRWA) in Real Property Services (RPS) acts as Region/District Liaison who will provide guidance and assistance to Regions/Districts and must possess a working knowledge of the Right of Way Property Management Data System (RWPMS) and the Excess Lands Management System, in addition to the Right of Way Management Information System 2 (ROWMIS 2). The SRWA participates in policy development and active management of the Department's Property Management, Airspace, Excess Land Sales, and Clearance & Demolition programs. The SRWA will also have a particular focus on the 710 Affordable Sales Program and the implementation of affordable housing in conjunction with Executive Order N-06-19.

Position located at 1120 N Street, Sacramento, Sacramento County.

This is a Limited Term position which may be extended to 24 months or become permanent. 

This position is located out of the Sacramento HQ office. While in the office, the incumbent will work in a climate-controlled office between 64 and 84 degrees under artificial lighting. The current position is a hybrid telework position, where the employee will work from home an agreed amount of time and report in office on regularly scheduled days. Telework agreements are subject to change, based on office needs, and are at the purview of the employer. Travel throughout the State of California will be required.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
