Are you the go-to pro when a machine must be rebuilt right the first time

If you thrive on diagnosing tough mechanical problems, crafting precise repairs, and keeping production humming, this role is for you. You will operate with minimal supervision, own complex troubleshooting, and mentor others while maintaining a relentless focus on safety and reliability.

You will

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild plant manufacturing equipment using blueprints, schematics, and OEM information.
• Set up and run precision machines to fabricate or restore parts.
• Execute mechanical preventive maintenance across all plant assets.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and adjustment of machinery and components.
• Use rigging and heavy-moving equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform welding (TIG, MIG, ARC) and related metalworking as required.
• Work at elevated heights using approved lifts and equipment.
• Train and mentor apprentices; support contractors and fellow mechanics.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA/MIOSHA standards.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability efforts.

• Break down complex mechanical issues with strong analytical troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, and machine tools with confidence.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Handle rigging, lifting, and material moves safely.
• Weld and perform metal fabrication tasks.
• Stay physically capable of heavy lifting and work at heights.
• Apply OSHA/MIOSHA safety best practices daily.

Your background

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed four-year apprenticeship registered with the U.S. Department of Labor.
• Holds a Machine Repair Journeyman Card or Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman Card.
