This position is situated within the Biopharma department, focusing on clinical laboratory testing and validation work for in vitro diagnostics clients. It offers a dynamic environment where you will perform a variety of laboratory tasks and contribute to innovative test development.
Responsibilities - Conduct clinical laboratory testing, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, as well as assay/instrument calibration, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
- Perform analytical validation work in accordance with client protocols.
- Participate in test validation work for two tests in development:
- Cell isolation for a cell viability assay
- Assay/instrument calibration, quality control, instrument maintenance, and running validation samples for a more advanced test.
- Maintain general laboratory equipment.
- Engage in other duties such as making quality control pools, performing quality activities as per procedures, and managing inventory.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in laboratory and medical laboratory testing.
- Experience in instrumentation and troubleshooting.
- Strong background in Chemistry and Biology.
- Ability to process specimens efficiently.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a human biological science such as Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Neuroscience.
- Medical Laboratory Science degree preferred
- 2+yrs experience working within a clinical laboratory
- MLS generalist background preferred
Work Environment The work is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
