This Medical Assistant (Nursing) role involves providing clinical and administrative support in a primary care setting. Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians and nurses with patient care.
- Taking patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Administering medications as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Drawing blood and collecting specimens.
- Performing electrocardiograms (ECGs).
- Maintaining patient records and charting.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Sterilizing and preparing medical instruments.
- Performing other clinical and administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Medical Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Current BLS certification.
- Flu vaccination (required by 12/1/2025 for current staff, required for new staff starting 9/2/2025).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting.
Special Considerations:

- Cannot have worked permanently, as a traveler, or PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months.
- Day shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- Travel position.
Scheduling:
- Day shift, 8:00 AM start time.
- 40 guaranteed hours per week.
- 13-week assignment.
- Overtime pay after 24 hours daily and 40 hours weekly.
