Job Description

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a part-time Massage Soft Tissue Therapist. This person will treat patients to help prevent physical problems, injuries, and pain in soft muscle tissues. The primary responsibilities include assessing a patient’s soft tissue, manipulating soft tissue to provide relief from pain, and improving the patient’s mobility through manipulation that improves circulation. Responsible for helping patients recover from injuries or deal with chronic pain. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish. 

We are in search of a team player that has the following: 

Responsibilities:

• Knead and massage muscles and soft tissue.
• Assess the root cause of the pain. 
• Utilize a wide range of manipulation techniques to reduce pain. 
• Keep excellent records of patient health and treatment options.
• Explain the causes of pain to each patient clearly and properly explain how to complete strengthening exercises at home.
• Increase the patient’s range of motion.
• Work with or contact other health care providers as needed to ensure the patient receives the best quality care.
• Promote relaxation for clients to ensure the maximum benefit of the massage.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete a massage therapy program and pass licensing exam (Ex: MBLEx)
• California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) Certification.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience. 
• Current CPR/First Aid card preferred. 
• Current TB negative test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated, responsible, reliable and honest.
• Must be a team-player who interacts well with others.
