Job Title: Machinist
Location: Landisville, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 3pm-1:30am Mon-Thur (1 opening), 8pm-6:30am-Mon-Thur (2 openings)

Must have 1 year of machining experience along with multi-tasking ability and attention to detail.  This is a physical position. 


Position Title: Machine Operator 

Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multiple slicing machines to cut rare earth magnet materials to precise customer specifications. This role ensures that all parts meet dimensional, quality, and safety standards while maintaining efficient production rates.

Major Responsibilities

1. Safety

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.

2. Documentation and Process Control

• Read, understand, and follow Work Instructions (WI) and Process Control Standards (PCS).

• Accurately interpret and adhere to manufacturing routers and quality procedures.

3. Drawing Interpretation

• Review and interpret customer drawings to obtain dimensions, features, tolerances, and requirements.

• Verify that part numbers on drawings match the manufacturing router.

4. Machine Setup and Maintenance

• Install and configure proper tooling for each job.

• Select and verify appropriate measuring instruments, such as micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, and optical comparators.

• Conduct first-piece inspections before full production runs.

• Maintain daily coolant or oil levels and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.

5. Machine Operation

• Operate a variety of equipment including:

• STC Slicing Machines

• Bridgeport Mill

• Vibratory Tumbler

• Monitor production for adherence to established quality standards and production targets.

  6. Quality and Data Recording

  • Perform and document in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.

  • Accurately record data in the ERP system and on manufacturing routers per work instructions.

  Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or machining experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Basic computer literacy for ERP data entry and documentation.
