Job Description

BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Machinist to be an integral part of our team. Machinist reports primarily to the Machine Shop Supervisor, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Machinist may be assigned to any of the following job functions:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and setting for a given task.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of completed products.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
  • Experience: Drill press, lathe, mill, band saw: Preferred; additional onsite training!
  • Computer Skills: None specifically required.
  • Certifications & Licenses: None specifically required.
  • Other Requirements: Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions); must be able to be on feet for full shift; lift up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling objects up to 100 pounds; must be able to wear a respirator.
