JOB REQUIREMENTS: Draft tax returns for individuals or small businesses.

Tax Preparer and Tax Interviewer. Drafter: Drafts tax returns for individuals. (We do not do while you wait service.) Must be able to identify various tax documents and properly, accurately, and quickly enter the information into tax software. We provide training for use of the software. After completion of draft, return is passed on to senior accountant for final review. Interviewers: will interview clients in person or by phone using a pre-scripted interview sheet; gather client data; answer client questions; will also conduct \"pick up\" appointments to review returns with clients, and answer additional client questions. We do not do \"while you wait\" returns. Serious qualified candidates only. These positions require prior tax training. Resumes must show candidate\'s actual training and / or experience in tax preparation. Candidates will have respect for Tax law, Business law, law in general, and company policy; have a good understanding of personal income tax application; and be able to promote the goodwill and professional image of the firm. Team mates are friendly and helpful to the new staff and are always available to answer questions. Compute taxes using personal computers. Interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances. Prepare tax returns for individuals. Use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients\' taxes to a minimum. Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion. Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses. Explain federal and state tax laws to individuals and companies. Answer questions and provide future tax planning to clients. \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Due to extreme sensitive nature of information handled and due to customer expectation of highest regard for law and business ethics, candidate agrees to be subject to criminal background checks. Candidate\'s resume will show candidate has working knowledge of income tax preparation; has good people skills; is sharp and able to answer tax client questions intelligently, quickly, and correctly; has ability to learn office procedures and policies quickly; has a good attitude; is ethical; is able to prepare accurate returns quickly; has strong power of observation and ability to follow through; and is a team worker. Candidate will commit to be available to work the entire tax season.
