Schmidt’s Historic, landmark restaurant and award-winning food trucks…Home of the Bahama Mama Smoked Sausage!

We are looking for enthusiastic, high energy, fun, friendly and outgoing team members who enjoy a challenge to join us on our sausage trucks. It is a restaurant on wheels! Full-time and part time hours available. Our family owned and operated business has over 130 years in the food service industry.

General responsibilities – Job overview

• Provide legendary hospitality
• Cooking
• Ensure Food safety, health department guidelines and sanitation are exceeded
• Maintain the Schmidt’s brand and image
• Consistent and error-free cash management through Point-of-Sale system entry
• Restocking and maintaining truck during service
• Serving guests food and beverage
• Additional responsibilities as requested by the management team.

Qualifications

• Experience with food and beverage helpful
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
• High standards of Cleanliness, hygiene, uniform presentation, and safe

• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand and work seven-12-hour shifts
• Ability to lift 40 pounds to chest height
• Able to read, write, and have basic math skills
• Able to move wrists in consistent motions though out the shift
• Must be able to hear, see and communicate effectively
• Able to climb a step stool
• Able to adapt to weather conditions
• Organized, friendly, upbeat, energetic, positive, and outgoing
• Consistent and Reliable transportation to truck locations

Pay scale/Benefits

• Ability to receive overtime pay
• Free shift meal
• Team member discounts
• Eligible for health, dental, vision and life insurance after six months
• Eligible for 401k after one year
• Vacation accrual after one year
• Full time team members will make a guarantee minimum of $20/hour with tips (32 hours/week)
