Job Description

Duties:
- Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate with other staff members to support student learning and development
- Complete required administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and reporting any incidents

Requirements:
- Classroom experience or relevant educational background
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with students of various ages, including infants to preschool-aged children
- Ability to work with individuals with autism or other special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
- Childcare or tutoring experience is a plus
- Understanding of child development stages and milestones

Substitute teachers play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education for students when regular teachers are absent.
