The team provides data-driven insights that enable strategic decision-making across the entire Cargo division + This role will support the Cargo Performance Planning & Analysis team's reporting and analytics needs - building reports, maintaining dashboards, and helping automate workflows **What you'll do** _As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ + Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL, Python, Excel, and data visualization tools to support decision-making across Cargo Division + Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reports that highlight key metrics and performance trends + Identify patterns and generate insights from data to answer business questions and support commercial initiatives + Improve team efficiency by automating manual workflows and streamlining data processes using SQL, Python, or Excel tools + Document queries, processes, and data sources to ensure consistency and enable team knowledge sharing + Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners on analytics projects and data tools **All you'll need for success** + **Minimum Qualifications-Education & Prior Job Experience** + Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information System, Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field + 3 years of related experience + 1 year of experience with SQL/Python **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information System, Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field + Expertise in one or more of the following: data science, and/or statistics; practical experience in data extraction, cleansing, analysis, and visualization **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Proficiency in SQL and Excel; familiarity with Python and data visualization tools like Power Bi/Tableau + Strong communication skills, comfortable working across teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical partners + Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Curiosity and initiative to improve workflows, automate tasks, and learn new tools + Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
